50/50 Lottery – Rotary of KW (Lottery Licence TBA)
The 50/50 Lottery – Rotary of KW is a joint project of the 5 Rotary Clubs in Kitchener and Waterloo. The lottery license holder is the Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club – Community Aid Fund.
- Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older to enter the 50/50 Lottery – Rotary of KW (the “5050KW Lottery”).
- Ticket purchasers must be located in Ontario at the time of purchase.
- The following persons are prohibited from purchasing tickets in the 5050KW Lottery:
- members of the Board of Directors of the Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club Community Aid Fund (the “Board”);
- members of the operating committee for the 5050KW Lottery;
- members of the same household of each of the above.
Tickets must be purchased in the province of Ontario.
Tickets can be purchased online at 5050KW.ca or in person using a Rafflebox point-of-sale terminal which has been approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, at occasional events, at the discretion of 5050KW Lottery.
Ticket prices are 5 for $10, 20 for $20, 80 for $50 and 200 for $100.
There is no limit to the number of tickets available.
All tickets are delivered via email. It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure that they receive their tickets. Purchasers do not need their tickets in hand to be included in a draw. If you do not receive your ticket(s), please contact customer service by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Draws, Prizes and Winners
After buying online, ticket purchasers will be provided by email, a receipt with their 5050KW registered numbers from a Random Selection System. No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly. Please ensure that a valid email address is provided to receive your electronic ticket.
For purchases made in person using a Rafflebox approved point-of-sale terminal, a printed receipt will be provided at time of purchase
Tickets are available for purchase as follows:
Lottery #1: Ticket sales to begin at 11:00 a.m. on January 3, 2023. Early Bonus Draws are offered in this draw.
There will be four quarterly lotteries held in 2023. Details about the dates and prizes for the lotteries are in Schedule A.
The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system (provided by Rafflebox) from all lottery numbers sold for the draw and the winner will be contacted by phone/email.
The winning ticket number will be posted to 5050kw.ca within 5 business days following each early bird and final draw. Winners will also be contacted by phone or notified by email.
Ticket holders do not have to be present at a draw in order to win or to claim their prize.
Prizes will be secured for a period of six (6) months following each draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported to, and a charitable allocation will be approved by, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
The winner must provide photo identification verifying their full name, address and date of birth upon claiming their prize.
The winners of the early bird draws are put back in the main draw to be eligible for the final draw prize.
By purchasing a ticket in the 5050KW Lottery, the purchaser acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules. All inquiries regarding the conduct, chance of winning, prizing or lottery procedures are to be made prior to the purchase of a ticket by email to email@example.com .
All ticket orders will be processed and fulfilled using the Rafflebox lottery management system. In the event of any discrepancy, the records of Rafflebox shall be deemed correct and final. Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club Community Aid Fund (the “Licensee”) is responsible for the conduct and management of the 5050KW Lottery. The liability of the Licensee shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
By claiming a prize, winner consents to the use of their likeness/photograph, first and last name, ticket number, city/town of residence and any audio/video recording (or written transcription) of the winner notification telephone/video call, for any publicity purposes by the Licensee.
